Joe is Co-Founder, runs the operations, and is a strategic visionary for Launch Digital Marketing.
In 1998, Joe began his career at Ford Motor Company working on the assembly line at the Chicago Assembly Plant. Simultaneously he was finishing college and ultimately graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Business/Marketing degree from St. Xavier University in Chicago. Shortly thereafter he was accepted into the Illinois Institute of Technology for his Masters and gained credits along the way from Cornell University for training and leadership. Soon after graduation Joe was promoted to the Marketing and Sales Division of Ford Motor Company, where he learned the inner-workings of business financials, marketing planning, and e-business. In 2008, after 10 years with Ford Motor Company, he left to explore the retail side of the industry. After having great success in retail and e-marketing, and having identified the paradigm shift from traditional media and push advertising to digital and pull marketing, the idea for Launch was born, a business wherein the leaders had been in the thick of the retail world and knew what marketing was about. Marketing with true results from a tested hypothesis — hence the phrase, “real life, not theory.”
Joe has been involved with computers since 1985 (at 8 years old), when he was learning to program on the Commodore 64. He loves podcasts, the scrappy start-up culture, and truly immersing himself in learning. He is a web marketer and a programmer, and he prides himself on quickly executing ideas, not just talking about them. Joe is also on the Board of Directors for the Chicago children’s charity “One for the Kids” and does work for several other non-profits. He is a proud dad of three great children, a husband to a great wife, and has a crazy dog named Harley.
In the quiet college town of Oshkosh, WI, an internship with a real estate and web development company opened the door to the World Wide Web for Matthew Cole. While working with auto dealers throughout the country on perfecting the digital counterpart to their brick and mortar operations, the need for custom web solutions was realized.
Launch Digital Marketing was established to provide clients with comprehensive digital strategies and transparent reporting. Matthew is laser-focused on driving innovation and having the best solutions work together, creating a great web-surfing journey for the consumer alongside quantifiable results for the client.
Jamie has 10 years of experience and expertise in the automotive industry working for a fortune 5 company. She takes pride in being Launch’s very first employee. Currently she writes content as well as manages projects across an extensive client base. Jamie has two of the coolest kids around as well as two awesome dogs. One of her favorite places to spend her weekends off is up in northern MI where she has a private log cabin in the woods. Jamie enjoys deer hunting, reading, traveling, painting, and reality TV.
Marc has over a decade of experience working as both a freelance programmer and as an Internet Director of a large automotive dealership. Google Ad-Words and Microsoft Ad Center certified, Marc eats, sleeps and breathes better quality scores and higher ROI for businesses.
Kyle is the Chief Editor for Launch Digital Marketing and works to ensure that all content is unique, compelling, and error-free. He received his MFA in creative writing from Columbia College Chicago, where he taught First-Year Composition and was an editor for their nationally-distributed annual poetry journal. Kyle currently lives in Milwaukee, WI, is an avid film lover, and tries to read as much as possible in his free time.
Matt graduated from Ripon College with a degree in Economics. Upon graduation, Matt went to work in multi-channel marketing and dedicated over 14 years developing, executing and optimizing customer campaigns. By 2008, Matt was focused exclusively on Digital, Interactive and Advanced Advertising solutions. Today, Matt leads a content team that incorporates Launch’s analytical intelligence to create highly targeted SEO content.
Matt lives on a farm with his wife, dogs, cats, hens, cattle and hogs.
Dan is a graphic designer and web developer for Launch Digital Marketing since 2011. Art and design always having been personal hobbies, Dan has jumped at the opportunity to do graphics and web development whenever possible. He has worked as a contractor and consultant for several companies working on email newsletters, e-commerce stores, social media integration, and general graphic design for the last 7 years. With Launch, Dan now has the opportunity to devote all of his time into his passion for learning new development techniques and pushing his skill level in graphic design to new heights.
Dan lives in the Southwest suburbs of Chicago with his wife and 3 year old son.
Caitlin has worked as a web developer at Launch Digital Marketing since 2011, specializing in website development on the WordPress platform. In April 2013, Caitlin took the position of CTO, leading the web development team. Caitlin has a long history in internet-related technologies, and has been practicing web development since high school. She has also held positions on IT Support, Marketing, Assessment & Reporting and Customer Service teams in various corporate environments.
Caitlin is a mother to two young girls and is based out of Boston, MA and her husband, Allen, is a Senior Network Administrator for an IT Consulting firm. She embraces the term geek - it’s a badge of honor!
Joel is the Publishing Manager for Launch Digital Marketing who uses his knowledge of web site design, SEO tactics and marketing to ensure that all of our clients websites and blogs are looking great and ranking even better.
Joel is an accomplished and respected DJ who owns a vinyl record collection that would impress almost anyone. He’s also a big animal lover with a a good sense of humor.
Colleen is a graduate of the University of Florida (Go Gators!) with a degree in Marketing. But that was a long time ago. (Don’t ask how long though.) Since then she’s held several marketing related positions doing research and analysis, technical sales, event coordination, and design. She likes the design part best. Colleen is the daughter of an engineer and an artist, and likes to tell people she’s either anally creative or creatively anal. Either way she gets the job done, and it looks good too.
In her spare time, when she’s not chasing around after her boys, she teaches a kids’ karate class with her husband a couple nights a week, loves to watch Gator and SEC football, is attempting to grow a vegetable garden with a black thumb, and tries to find the time to run. Her husband is the Director of Engineering at a development shop where they live in Jacksonville, FL, and they dream of owning a home in the mountains some day.
Mary is the Listings Coordinator for Launch Digital Marketing, helping the world find our clients faster and easier on the web. Her computer career began with the early invasion of PCs and Microsoft Word into the secretarial department. She led the conversion from analog to digital with innovative applications from file storage and mail merging to spreadsheets and data bases. She has two grown children and three beautiful grandchildren and lives and works in Toledo, OH.
Allyn Hane is a blogger first, and a blogger always. In 1993, serving as a photojournalist in the US Air Force, he became editor of a weekly base newspaper ::: there he learned the power of social interaction and its direct correlation to interesting and useful content… pre-internet.
In 2007 he started a blog giving DIY lawn care tips from his front yard ::: it was fun, and it was a hobby, nothing more ::: 2 years later he sold it for $30,000. Nowadays, he still blogs, but with the growth of social media, all he wants to do is share ::: Whether it’s a YouTube video about cutting his lawn with tweezers, a local restaurant review on Yelp, or Tweeting the latest flavor profile of local craft beers, he’s sharing it somewhere.
This thirst for content and desire to share has translated into a true passion for the relationships clients hold with their customers on and offline.
Hailing from Flint, Michigan, Robert holds a B.A. in English from Central Michigan University and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He currently lives in Boston, Massachusetts and has worked as a writer and editor for Launch Digital Marketing since 2011. He spends his free time reading, reading, reading some more, and following hockey.
