Google Doodle Happy BirthdayScoop of the day: Since I work at Launch Digital Marketing, a digital marketing company, I am constantly working on Google via search, email, etc. This morning, on the date of my birth, I received a little meaningful surprise from Google: a personal birthday Google Doodle! When I visited Google to do a search, it caught me by surprise that there is a Google Doodle that was themed as if it was a birthday cake. I thought maybe it was a coincidence and it was the birthday of someone “important” that shares the same day as me. But after asking my colleague to check out Google to see what her Google Doodle was; it turns out her Google Doodle was for the 2014 FIFA World Cup™.  Now Google and Google Doodles have made the connection with individual users visiting the site with their birthdays. This encouraged me to dive in and do a little more digging on this simple yet enjoyable present from Google.  When someone signs into their Google Account, they will be able to see a personal Google Doodle for themselves on their birthday.

For those of you who don’t know what a Google Doodle is, a Google Doodle is a different artistic form of the Google logo on google.com. They often represent significant holidays, current events, anniversaries, etc.

Wonder what is next for personal Google Doodles? Individuals’ relationship or work anniversaries? Can’t wait to see what surprises Google has in store for us next.
